CHRISTMASS TRADITIONS IN NORWAY

It is so nice when im in a different country like norway and in this xmass season to hear all this xmass traditions that they have, i will write down for you some of their traditons to see if you also have any in your country especially those living outside norway
1. moving around the xmass tree singing different songs, some days b4 xmass.
2.eating RICE PORRIAGE the day before xmass eve and finding the NUT inside and the one who sees it receives a present HAHAHA så kukyling
3.xmass soda, drunk only on xmass time
4.making xmass cakes, papekaken
5. having a xmass calender
6.bord jul: this is for companies and organisations
7.XMASS SOKS: some families here hung a big socks on the door full of small things like chocolate candies and xmass magazines so that on xmass eve one can pick something from the sock and eat or read...................... and alot more but it is all so nice an experience

MY CHRISMASS PREPARATIONS

This year is going to be one of the wonderful years for me because im having a different xmass from the one in used to, back at home we take time to know that this is xmass untill it reaches 20th of dec but here it is so different, xmass has started as early as november which is so amusng for me and interesting and this is nice because it gives people time like to budget for the seasons like buying gifts and many other things,
So as i have said that this is a wonderful year for me because i have also bought several gifts to send to my friends especially those i made here in norway because they mean alot to me,
And another thing is that i will celebrate xmass with my host family which is going to be so interesting and have all this xmass foods and the xmass soda which is my fevourate so far, I LOVE THE JUL SODA... AAAASH!!!
And another good thing for me in the new year, i will go to a camp for krik where we are going to have all this activities like games skiing, skating..... waaoh it is just so fun, glory be to God who brought me here, otherwise i could be very jelousy in heaven that day when people are explaining their fun moments, i njust dont know what i could have said, but now atleast i have something to say

my short experience in norway

As days keep going i feel more happy about been in norway and i have never regreted why i chose this program of exchange to come this way, it has real been my favorate moment to be here and i have learnt alot of things here though there were alot of challenges but this is just parfect because it remains me of how people are faced with challenges all ocer the world, and this gives me the courage that whenever i will go no matter where in the world i will meet some challenges because evenif you are in your own country still you experience some challenges, but the only best way to solve a challenge is to take everything positively though sometimes it harts but just take the initiative and deal with the situation immediently.
And one more thing that i have learnt here is not to force things at all, as they say it is hard to get a norwegian friend! it is true take it like that never try to force yourself and as time comes you will see you have the most friends who are norwegians, so as most philosophers said that there is time for everything, it is parfect true, there is time for everything especially for friends, i thank God for my Norwegian friends because at first i thought i will never get one, but now i have plenty GIVE YOURSELF TIME

"JUL BORD"

last friday we had what was called as "jul bord" it was real nice to go to this beautiful hotel which had all kind of decorations as if to say today is chrismass! so me with all the working staff we were all there at around seven oclock in the evening, we were not the only ones there there were many others from different organisations or companies.
so we started to eat and there was a varriety of foods, all type of foods you could ever think of was there so we ate and ate untill we could eat no more.
after all the eating, drinking started, people drunk and drunk but unfortunatly im not a good drinker so i didnt benefit from this.
do you know what followed after drinking???? DANCING i had never seen this before but it was crazy dont wait to be told because it was so nice to see these drunkurds on the dancing floor showing all the stlyes they had preseverd for the year
so all this went on untill around one where we decided to go home and we left the place still on fire and i dont know the time it ended, may be in the morning.....

this is a chrismass month, and it is so nice allover the town with the dicorations and everything, i was invited at a friends place to go and make this chrismasss decorations and what they call pape kake; if im not mistaken! we made so many and she was very happy to see the number of pape kake we have made and it was fun also to me because it was my first time to do such a thing so it was sosososo nice......

it is nice to be with the little ones here, so nice!!!!!

here at my workin place is fun too because the teachers are good and the kids are good too, we get along now with the kids and they like us too and we try with our litt norsk i know i still comminicate with the kids here, it real fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi there: im realing havin good time here in kristiansand especially on this winter season! eventhough people say it is too cold but i thnk it is my best time here because i have alot of time on the snow outside with the kids where i work from
